All-Points Waste is always looking for a way to improve our community’s neighborhoods and promote the well-being and safety of every community member. Do you enjoy running, walking, and socializing for a good cause? If you are ready to greet spring with enthusiasm and support the effort to prevent homelessness, join the All-Points Waste Team at the Annual Crisis Run this month!
The local Charlotte trash collection team from All-Points Waste is sponsoring the 7th Annual Crisis Run on Saturday, April 14, 2018 to fight against homelessness throughout our neighborhoods and the surrounding communities. This year’s run is being organized by the Union County Crisis Assistance Ministry and All-Points Waste is a proud sponsor. The event will begin and end Wingate University—located just southeast of Charlotte in Wingate, North Carolina.
Crisis Run participants can choose to run, jog, or walk either a 5k or 10k distance, and should be prepared to take off from the starting line at 9 a.m. sharp on Saturday morning. There is also a fun run for those who wish to tackle a shorter distance, or for those who want to get their kids involved in the cause of preventing homelessness in their communities. This family-friendly activity is the perfect way to improve the well-being of area residents while spending quality time with those closest to you and meet other community members.
Why Does All-Points Waste Sponsor the Crisis Run?
We are glad you asked! All-Points Waste Service’s commercial and residential trash pickup team is once again sponsoring this worthwhile event that helps improve the neighborhoods around us by supporting those in need. We are partnering with the 2018 UCCAM running and walking campaign to help outrun homelessness because we believe that every person in our community deserves to have a quality life. This problem affects those of all ages: from children to adults to the elderly.
Our local Charlotte trash collection company is excited to continue to support the UCCAM’s mission to provide critical services to those who are at risk of losing their homes due to financial instability and other factors. A couple vital parts of the UCCAM’s efforts to help those community members who are facing the reality of losing their homes are counseling and financial planning for the future. Although raising funds and awareness are two key components to preventing homelessness, education on how to properly manage money is also crucial to these families and individuals who are overwhelmed with the thoughts of becoming homeless.
All-Points Waste Service wants to help our community break the cycle of homelessness by providing support and financial education for those parents, senior citizens who are living on fixed incomes, veterans, and other people upon whom hard times have fallen. We stand with the UCCAM’s mission to serve our neighbors by promoting health, comfort, and safety for all of our community members.
How the Crisis Run Helps Prevent Homelessness in Our Neighborhoods
The UCCAM cannot provide the critical services required to help families and individuals facing potential homelessness without support from the community. All-Points Waste Service believes in and supports the UCCAM’s efforts to raise funds for those people facing eviction from their residences, or for those who are faced with the threat of having their electricity and water cut off due to the inability to pay the bills each month. That is where the Crisis Run comes into play.
All registration fees from the Crisis Run as well as other donations collected throughout the event go directly toward the UCCAM’s mission to serve those who are slipping toward the harsh reality of homelessness. The funds raised through the event registration fees and donations can provide those in need with the money to pay heating and cooling bills, and to even feed those families who cannot afford to put food on the table.
Our residential and commercial trash pickup team encourages anyone who would like to participate in the fight to prevent homelessness in Charlotte and the surrounding communities to join All-Points Waste Service in the Crisis Run. We believe in strong communities, and the best way to promote a strong Charlotte community is by getting involved. The more people that sign up for and participate in the Crisis Run, the more counseling and financial services the UCCAM can provide to those who are homeless or nearing homelessness.
If you are looking for a way to enrich the community around you, stretch your legs, and spend some quality time with your family or other Charlotte community members while supporting a worthwhile cause, register for the Crisis Run, here. The All-Points Waste Service team will see you there!
